"Facing Life's Financial Trials with Hope...and a Plan"

The Origin of Count It All Joy

For most of the past 25+ years, I was Vice President of Retail Systems for two multi-billion dollar corporations, responsible for implementing business solutions through the use of technology for several thousand retail grocery customers.  The budgeting process for the Retail Systems Dept was extensive not only managing large corporate capital budgets but also the income and expense budgets for the technology support teams scattered across the wholesale divisions.  Blessed with some very talented and dedicated employees, we produced some outstanding financial achievements during those years.

Approximately 15 years ago, I began assisting young married couples in financial crises.  While continuing my corporate position, I found it rewarding to make a difference in young people’s lives by teaching them the fundamentals of financial budgeting.  This included teaching them “Lessons Learned” from my own personal financial experiences but also creating very simple spreadsheets to track their finances annually, monthly and ultimately by pay period.

In late summer of 2006, I chose to step out of the corporate world to make a difference in people’s lives by formalizing the financial budgeting principles I had taught informally over the past 15 years.  I formed Count It All Joy, a company dedicated to teaching financial principles to individuals from all walks of life.  These principles are taught through a series of workshops to individuals  through their employer, their church, inner circle of friends, and their families.  Since that time, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of giving hope to those in financial ruin.  Thoroughly amazed, I found there were no income limitations to those with financial troubles.  Financial problems existed across the board, seemingly unaffected by how much people made for a living.

As I move forward with Count It All Joy, I continue to expand my workshops by including the troublesome areas of credit cards, credit reports, saving and investing.  I know I am making a better life for families across this great country of ours by giving them hope…..knowing they will one day “COUNT IT ALL JOY” to having gone through financials trials making them stronger.

Thanks, Gary
